Meet VMP Covergirl is……Natalya Yanovich! 🎉
What if turning 50 wasn't about slowing down, but discovering just how much more life has to offer?
Meet Natalya Yanovich, one of the extraordinary women featured in our 50 Over 50 Project!
Originally from Moldova, Natalya's journey has taken her from a successful career in banking to building an entirely new life in the United States, and eventually to a new calling as a hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapy practitioner.
Today, through LifeWorksWithNat, she helps people navigate stress, anxiety, and the beliefs that keep them from living more fulfilling lives.
But Natalya isn't just helping others embrace new possibilities. She's embracing plenty of her own!
At 48, she stepped into the world of fashion modeling. For her 50th birthday, she gathered more than 70 friends and clients for an unforgettable all-white dance party. That celebration sparked a new passion for ballroom dancing, and just one year later, she was competing!
For Natalya, this chapter is about protecting her peace, following her passions, and having the confidence to create a life that feels authentically hers.
Her advice to other women?
“Stop thinking about your age. Inside, you are still the same curious, joyful kid you’ve always been.”
Natalya is a wonderful reminder that the next chapter can be every bit as exciting as the ones that came before.
On November 5th, Natalya will be one of the 50 women featured in our second 50over50 exhibition as we celebrate all 100 women photographed over the course of this seven-year project.
Here's what Natalya had to say about this season of her life...
💎 Did you have any older female role models when you were younger?
When I was younger, people often told me that I looked like Julia Roberts, especially when the movie Pretty Woman first came out in theaters. I never met her personally, but in a way she still became a role model for me.
Her roles always showed a strong, authentic woman who stays true to herself no matter what life brings. Watching her on screen inspired me to believe that confidence, kindness, and inner strength are what truly make a woman beautiful.
Even though she never gave me advice directly, her presence and the characters she played made a big impact on me. They reminded me that being yourself and carrying your life with grace and courage is always the right path.
💎 How did you mark turning 50? How did that feel to you?
Turning 50 was one of the most beautiful celebrations of my life. I decided to celebrate it in a special way and organized a White Dancing Party at Arthur Murray Dance Studio McMurray. I invited more than 70 friends and clients, and everyone came dressed in white, which made the evening feel magical.
We had amazing authentic catering, a dance lesson for everyone, fun games, and of course a lot of dancing. The energy in the room was incredible. It felt less like a birthday and more like a celebration of life, friendship, and new beginnings.
The funniest part is that the party actually changed my life. After that night I fell in love with dancing so much that it became my main hobby. Just one year later, I’m already competing in the Bronze II category.
Turning 50 didn’t feel like getting older. It felt like starting a new, exciting chapter.
💎 What advice would you give your younger self?
Keep going girl!!!
💎 Do you feel like you've changed since you've turned 50?
Yes, I have definitely changed since turning 50—but in the best possible way. I honestly don’t feel my age at all. My health is excellent, I take no medications, and I focus on natural wellness, especially using products from doTERRA essential oils.
What has really changed is my perspective on life. I no longer allow drama or unnecessary stress into my world. I value peace, balance, and living authentically much more than before.
I also feel incredibly inspired by my three children. Watching their achievements and the paths they are creating in their own lives fills me with pride. At the same time, I continue following my passion for holistic care and helping people live healthier, more balanced lives.
So for me, turning 50 wasn’t about aging—it was about becoming more confident, more peaceful, and more aligned with who I truly am.
💎 What positives have come from being over 50?
One of the biggest positives of being over 50 is that I’ve learned how to say “no” and truly put myself first. I protect my time, my energy, and my peace. At this stage of life, you stop worrying about what others think and start focusing on what genuinely makes you happy. Life feels freer and more authentic.
💎 Do you have any goals or projects you're working on? What dreams do you have for the future?
Oh yes, absolutely. My dream is to become a world-known hypnotherapist and RTT practitioner, inspiring people to transform their lives and heal from within. I want to continue growing as a life motivator, helping others believe in themselves and create the life they truly want.
I also plan to launch my own podcast and become as impactful and widely known as Mel Robbins, who has been a big inspiration for me.
Another dream of mine is to write an inspirational book. Life has given me many powerful experiences and lessons, and I truly believe those stories could help and inspire others.
💎 What is your best advice for other women who are coming up on turning 50?
My best advice is simple: stop thinking about your age. Inside, you are still the same curious, joyful kid you’ve always been. Age is just a number.
Live fully in the present moment, because what you do today is what creates your future. And most importantly, let the past stay in the past—it no longer exists. When you release it, you make space for a new, beautiful chapter of your life.
💎 What do you most want people to remember about you?
Honestly, I don’t focus too much on what others say about me. What matters most is what I think about myself and staying true to who I am.
Many people have told me they would love to have my life, but very few would want to wear my shoes and walk the path I had to walk to get here. Every experience, challenge, and lesson shaped who I am today.
If there is one thing I would want people to remember about me, it’s that I lived authentically, followed my passion, and had the courage to create my own path.
💎 Why are beautiful photos important to you right now?
Beautiful photos are important to me right now because they remind me that I am the best and I deserve the best.
They capture a moment where I feel confident, strong, and truly myself. Sometimes we need those visual reminders—to see our own beauty, growth, and the life we’ve created. For me, photos are a way to celebrate this stage of life and honor the woman I’ve become
💎 Have you ever been professionally photographed?
Yes, I have. For two years I worked as a fashion model, and it was an incredible experience. At the age of 48, I was selected to represent brands like Michael Kors and Zara, which was both surprising and very empowering for me.
It showed me that beauty and confidence are not about age. In many ways, I felt even more confident stepping into modeling later in life because I truly knew who I was. The experience was exciting, inspiring, and it reminded me that new opportunities can appear at any stage of life.
Congratulations Natalya! It’s an honor to help you celebrate YOU and your journey and I’m so glad you said YES to yourself! Ciao Bella 🎉
Your story deserves to be celebrated, too!
