VMP Covergirl - Kelly Moore

This week’s VMP Renaissance Covergirl is……Kelly Moore!🎉

Kelly is fire, fun, and full of heart. 🔥

She gifted herself this session for her 50th birthday, and brought her husband along to celebrate their love story, too. From her spunky, personalized style to her fierce dedication to causes she cares about (yes, she’s done the Polar Plunge 🥶💪), Kelly is the kind of woman who lights up every room and lifts others as she climbs.

We hit it off right away, and it’s no surprise why, she’s passionate about living fully, owning her story, and making an impact. Now, she’s stepping into 50 with confidence, clarity, and zero apologies.

👉 Her message? You are worthy, you are powerful, and your next chapter can be your boldest one yet. 🌟

Here’s what she had to say about this time in her life…

💎 Did you have any older female role models when you were younger?

Yes, my great-grandmother was a significant role model in my life. She took care of me with unwavering patience and kindness, always leading by example. Her nurturing nature taught me the value of resilience, compassion, and grace. She showed me the importance of perseverance and instilled in me a strong sense of integrity. While she may not have always given direct advice, her actions spoke volumes, demonstrating that strength is often found in quiet determination and unwavering love. Her influence continues to guide me in both my personal and professional life. She lived well into her 90's and had the best sense of style. I attribute my love of fashion because of her!

💎 How did you mark turning 50? How did that feel to you?

I am celebrating my turning 50 in the state I was born in, Florida on a beach!

It is a time of confidence, wisdom, and stepping fully into my power. As I have aged, I have gained clarity on who I am, what I want, and now I get to live unapologetically. I have built a strong foundation, personally and professionally, and now I can focus on thriving, rather than just striving. Plus, 50 comes with a sense of freedom, where we care less about external expectations and more about what truly fulfills me.

💎 What advice would you give your younger self?

I would likely tell my younger self to trust the journey and believe in my worth. I'd remind her that imposter syndrome is just a distraction from the greatness already within her. I would encourage her to take up space, speak with confidence, and never shrink herself for the comfort of others. I would tell her that setbacks aren’t failures, they’re lessons shaping the strong, resilient woman she will one day become.  Most importantly, I'd reassure her that she is enough, just as she is.

💎 Do you feel like you've changed since you've turned 50?

Turning 50 has brought a shift in how I see myself and the world around me. I feel more confident, embracing who I am without the need for external validation. My definition of attractiveness has evolved, it’s less about meeting societal standards and more about feeling powerful, authentic, and at peace with myself.

💎 What positives have come from being over 50?

One of the greatest positives of being over 50 is the confidence and wisdom that come with experience. I’ve learned to embrace my worth, trust my voice, and live unapologetically, and now, I use that to empower younger women. I help them see that they don’t have to wait until they reach a certain age to own their power.

Through mentorship, leadership, and open conversations, I encourage younger women to push past self-doubt, take up space, and pursue their goals fearlessly. I remind them that their value isn’t tied to external validation but to the strength, intelligence, and passion they bring to the table. If I can help them realize their power earlier than I did, then I know I’m making an impact.

💎 Do you have any goals or projects you're working on? What dreams do you have for the future?

One of my biggest goals is to not let the past live in my head and hold me back. I’ve learned that growth comes from acknowledging past experiences without letting them define my future. Instead of replaying old doubts or mistakes, I focus on what’s ahead, like new opportunities, meaningful connections, and the impact I want to make.

For the future, I dream of continuing to empower women, helping them break free from their own self-imposed limitations. I want to create spaces where they feel seen, heard, and valued, so they don’t carry the same weight of the past that I once did. My journey has taught me that true freedom comes from releasing what no longer serves me, and I want to help others do the same.

💎 What is your best advice for other women who are coming up on turning 50? What do you 'know' now?

My best advice for women approaching 50 is to embrace this stage of life with confidence and excitement. Society often tells us that aging is something to fear, but the truth is, turning 50 is freeing. We've spent years learning, growing, and proving ourselves. Now is the time to live fully and unapologetically.

What I know now is that my worth has never been tied to external validation, titles, or how well I meet others’ expectations. I’ve learned that confidence isn’t about perfection, it’s about embracing who I am, flaws and all. I also know that the past doesn’t have to take up space in my future.

Turning 50 is not the end of anything but rather, the beginning of a new powerful chapter in my life.

💎 What do you most want people to remember about you?

People often perceive me as strong, but the truth is, I still have moments of doubt and hear those inner voices of despair. Strength isn’t about never struggling, it’s about continuing to rise despite those struggles.

More than anything, I want to be remembered as someone who made others feel seen, valued, and empowered. If my journey, flaws, doubts, and all, can inspire another woman to push past her own fears and step into her greatness, then I know I’ve made an impact. True power comes from embracing both the highs and the lows, and using them to uplift others.

💎 Why are beautiful photos important to you right now?

These beautiful photos serve as a reminder that I am worthy of being seen, just as I am. They help me shift my focus from self-doubt to self-appreciation, showing me the power, grace, and beauty that others may see in me. More than that, they allow me to leave a visual legacy, not just for myself, but for the women I inspire, proving that confidence and radiance only deepen with time.

💎 Have you ever been professionally photographed before?

My first time being professionally photographed was with Tracy and it was an empowering experience. At first, I felt a bit nervous, as she pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I quickly realized how transformative it was. It wasn’t just about looking good in the photos, it was about embracing my confidence and the journey I’ve been on. The experience helped me see myself in a new light, focusing on my strength and beauty, rather than any insecurities. It reminded me that I am deserving of being seen, not just for my accomplishments, but for the woman I’ve become.
